Meet the Therapy Ponies, and eat cake!

Updated: Sep 14, 2019

On Friday 27th September 1:00-4:00, SCEAP will open its barn for you to come and meet the ponies, eat cake and enjoy a brew. This is in aid of MacMillan Cancer Trust and celebrating the progress the project has made in recent months. SCEAP was awarded £45,000 from Stoke City Community Investment Fund to develop their site so they can provide more therapy to people in the local community.

The site has benefitted from new fencing, the barn floor concreted, a very special, safe space in the shape of a yurt, and a track round to the privacy of the new site. All this work has been completed, thanks to Daniel Kinson, the landowner, and SCEAP is up and running as an Equine Assisted Therapy hub.

They currently work with Action For Children, local schools, virtual schools in the area and with children in residential care. They also work with adults as well as young people.

They recently won the Tesco Bags of Help award, which has allowed them to deliver some much needed therapy to local people.

We'd love to see you at our Open Day and hope you can come and support us.
